I am just so damn me

Head is spinning...

Next 10 days entail:

Practice tonight
Membersmeeting on Thursday (missing my stepmoms B-day party)
Run practice on Friday
Bout on Saturday
Running bootcamp on Sunday
Clean out and pack up my apartment that I have had for 11 years on Monday and Tuesday
Exam in Organization and Leadership on Wednesday
Move into new apartment on Wednesday
Make sure that our company party runs smothly with food, presentations and everything on Friday
Pack for Portland (don't know when this is supposed to happen)
Go to Portland EARLY Saturday morning
CHILL, hold hands and ENJOY myself for six days... until I land in Helsinki and have two bouts...

Did I mention that I am fulltime at work? And that I am also part-time in school... AND I have two dear friends visiting this weekend... Yikes! Good thing is that I just will not have time to daydream. Oh, I probably will... it's sort of what I do really well! Plan things in my head to execute later...

And for dear all of you... this is NOT complaining, this is rather a statement... I can do this, because I want to. I love keeping busy, and I need to be leaping from thing to thing and then into a pair of strong arms and a loving kiss... and it's good! All good and amazing! I love skatng and bouting! I love roller derby! 

Catching up on myself....

Crime City vs. Berlin

So sometimes life just go crazy - and the past few month been like this, and it will go on and on until the end of this year, but that is ok. I really have not had time to sit down and write... but it has been great times!

Nordic Light was a great success, and two weeks later we bouted Berlin - won, and that was mine and Loonys last bout with CCR. We were soooo sad to leave Crime City, but sometimes life takes you places that aren't determined by derby. So now we live in Stockholm... and we joined Stockholm Roller Derby, and I get to see my family very much. Well, not as much as I want to - yet, since ever since we moved here things been really intense.

First we had a Team Sweden weekend in Crime City, then we went to Helsinki to play Team Finland, and then I came back to Stockholm, just to leave for UK, to coach in Northampton at Sk8te Heaven for two weekends. I had a great time coaching and seeing friends that I haven't seen in quite a while and also got to skate with London Rollegirls for two sessions. Not to mention I got to see Team Swedens two London bound ladies, Knickerblocker and Kit Kat Power.

Ehm... I probably done a thousand other things too - like moving ALL our stuff, coaching CCR, off-skates, painting our new appartment, going to IKEA, coaching STRD, starting a new job, attended derbyrelated meetings... yeah... and much more....

Living in Sweden again

I moved to Sweden, to Malmö, together with Loony, yeah, we are moved into our tiiiiny apartment. We have visited IKEA, we have fought against walls that will not let things stay in them (yeah IN them) and we are amazed by the lack of interest the dude whom lived here before us must have had in the apartment. It is nice to be closer to the leauge I am currently coaching together with Loony. This week we also picked the team that is bouting against Stockholm on March 12th in Sweden's first full-length bout with a full reff-crew and NSO's. It is exciting times for Swedish derby, we are also submitting our WFTDA application...
The other excitement of the week was when Vix Viking was participating in 'Trinny and Susannah making over Sweden', a Brittish TV-show making-over people, and Vix day culminated in a catwalk in a local mall... and Crime City came to cheer foor her, with flag and everything... She for sure had the loudest and largest cheering section of all the girls that gotten cut, painted and dressed....

Showering in a storm

There is a perfect storm outside, the windows are shaking and have done so all night. Malou got up this morning and went back to Denmark to go to school, she will have to do that every morning, take the train over the sound. So today I'm getting a few things, but foremost I'm taking a shower. I have a hate/love relationship with the shower.... I love being squeaking claen, but I HATE to shower... it is boring and a waste of time and maybe water too...  but then I really do like the shower liquid soap I have... It's mentholy and strong... makes my skin tingle, so I guess that makes up for some of the boring.

Eh, by the way, I just surfed into American Appearals homepage (because I wanted to find a picture of my tingeling soap), and there is a topless girl on a donkey. I really don't know how to react to this one... please tip me off...
