Vaccation from CrimeCity

So Crime City have a two week vaccation - no work for the leauge to do, for two weeks... That is probably not gonna be as easy as it sounds for me, but I am trying, I am trying. Me and Loony leaving tomorrow to go to Berlin and watch Berlin Bombshells play Paris Rollergirls, so our ''vaccation'' is not derby-free. Vix is taking a bunch of orders to Oslo, where they started a new league not to loong ago, her and Ninja are going to teach them a couple of basics, so we all keep busy.

And when we are not busy with anything else, we go skate outdoors (Loony think ya all are sick of ppl outdoorskating)...

Outdoor skating... yeah... again...

I know, I probably bore you to death by keep on posting about my outdoor adventures... It is summer in Sweden, and it is amazing to just go and skate, stop on the cliffs and jump into the water... Ninja did her Laura Croft pose and the sun just kept on beating down on us, not to bad of a day. Days like this I wish I lived in Barcelona or somewhere where the season lasts longer. Here in the north, we grab onto every second we have, we turn our pale faces towards the sun and we try to skate as much as possible.

Malmö has an outdoor rollerderby track!

Ninja kissing the track she worked so hard for...
I totally have forgotten to mention Crime City now have an outdoor track - and not just one that we painted ourselves - but a track that was approved by the city and painted for us in the skatepark... we have to fight some 14 year olds off to get to skate on it... but I think we might be intimidating enough to raise to the occation...
Now we all just pray for SUN all summer long...
Me and Fenix (and one morning Ankefar came along) have already been down there two mornings in a row and skated speedlaps before real life started... It's on concrete, and looks and feel really awesome... and we are all really excited for being able to hold practice outdoors and then go jump into the ocean... so we are just praying for no rain - the rest of the summer...

Well, now I'm off to Stockholm to watch Stockholm Rollerderby play Kallio Rolling Rainbow... yayaaaa... and I'm bringing a big part of SwedeVix with me... so if you are around come get some laces, bearings, socks or even a set of wheels...  and Malooney will be announcing while I'm working away...

Surfs Up!

New boxes of stuff and rolling on Ribban

SwedeVix has those now

Yeah, we got in a new order, colorful pads and wheels and skates for eagerly waiting girls around the contry... it's almost like I am getting it myself, I love whe derbygirls smile (and sweat), and I hope everyone will get super-happy when they get their stuff, and run around on their skates of pure joy.

Ninja came by here earlier today and we went skating, a total of 15 km in a brisk pace, and then she bought me an ice-cream. Yeah, overall it was a good day, in a few days I will be in Helsinki and it just hit me I don't know what wheels I should bring... damn, life is full of problems that aren't really problems...
Now I'm gonna watch a terrible TV-show with my girlfriend who finally stopped coughing her lungs up... yeah...
Check out SwedeVix - we have a whole bunch of new stuff... wheels, shoelaces and tomorrow the socks will go up online! Bumblebee striped socks and purple unicorns... who can say know... of course Malou already got herself a pair...

Getting back... yeah..

(Ninja this summer at CPH Pride)
So the past months have been very stressful - as most of you have understood, changing continent, changing country, changing city and changing everything is not easy. Leaving that safe haven that your leauge is to venture into a new leauge with different thoughts and skills is hard, but completly doable.
I have gone from being coached to being the coach and from living thousand of miles away from my girlfriend to living on-top of each other in a shoebox.

And somewhere I totally forgot to work out and lost a ton of weight - soooo yeahhh... and that was not fat - it was muscles... but don't worry - I can still skate...

BUT today I went to the gym and did it skating outdoors for the first time of 2011 - and got a gymcard. Ninja and Fenix joined me in a nice chatty work-out at the 24 hour gym that Ninja has talked us all into joining... I love the friends I have made here in Malmö -and Ninja and Fenix are both really awesome and genuine people. We want Ninja to be in the next Gladiators as a contender - it would make me sooo happy, so I told her that if she applies I'll go to the gym with her any day -and the girl LOVES the gym.
Yeaaahhh - it was nice and I feel like I am back on track... and skating outdoors - but my outdoor wheels that I've had for two years are falling apart -and it might be time for a new pair.

And now I'm over at Vix house working on SwedeVix shop - yepp and Loony is in Berlin - and for the rest of the week I have Crime City related meetings - evaluations of the bout last weekend. No rest for the wicked - and I am really starting to feel like I am wicked at points... MOHAHAHahahaha

Living in Sweden again

(Vix at the makeover show)

I moved to Sweden, to Malmö, together with Loony, yeah, we are moved into our tiiiiny apartment. We have visited IKEA, we have fought against walls that will not let things stay in them (yeah IN them) and we are amazed by the lack of interest the dude whom lived here before us must have had in the apartment. It is nice to be closer to the leauge I am currently coaching together with Loony. This week we also picked the team that is bouting against Stockholm on March 12th in Sweden's first full-length bout with a full reff-crew and NSO's. It is exciting times for Swedish derby, we are also submitting our WFTDA application...
The other excitement of the week was when Vix Viking was participating in 'Trinny and Susannah making over Sweden', a Brittish TV-show making-over people, and Vix day culminated in a catwalk in a local mall... and Crime City came to cheer foor her, with flag and everything... She for sure had the loudest and largest cheering section of all the girls that gotten cut, painted and dressed....
