An AMAZING trip

I had such a great trip, from a snowy Sweden to a snowy NYC to a overcast but warmer LA, with lots of rollerderby! I got to see some of my amazing friends and skate both banked and flat track with Team Wolfpack!
I got to skate with some amazing skaters from allover USA, and I had such a blast... I did get blisters under my feet, it has been about 1,5 years since I was on a banked track last.
Coming back to Sweden I'm just as pepp as ever to play more rollerderby, why is it so much fun!?

On Sunday we scrimmaged against ACDG

In LA I was staying with my friend Mad Dog, and she was jsut the best host ever and even better was that Demanda and her girl came down from SF to hang out! The only thing that was a bummer was taht I didn't get to go to Portland. 

A Legit weekend...

It was an amazing weekend - I got to see lot's of my American (and Canadian - Tush and Wile) friends and play some amazing banked track rollerderby. I love roller derby! In a crazy amount, it is the most amazing sport ever. Team Legit has always been a great team to skate with, and I am superhappy and proud that I am a part of it. And I was extreamly happy that I got to skate in Everett, because that is where I started rollerderby... 4,5 years ago... I started to skate in Everett... at the SkateDeck...

I got some time to hang out at Fast Girls, and I even coaxed myself into getting a pair of lift and separate shorts... yepp... I am going all girly on ya! 

Outdoor practice - you better dress in jeans

We have smooth concrete on our practice track, but outdoors and concrete still means that when you fall, you fall hard. So my advice is to wear tights and jeans shorts... Just will make you lose less skin, I know some people are under the impression that rinkrash is cool, I'm just under the impression that it hurts. I have had rinkrash a couple of times, not to talk about the snow/icerash I got during the summer snowboarding... NOT fun - just painful. So covering up my skin against rashes, is not really rocket-science to me....

I once again want to say that our track is aaaamazing, and I am gonna start using my narrow poisons on it, after the bout, because my Pure wheels are so heavy, and skating is feeling sluggish!

Yesterday I hung out with my former team-mates, and it makes me sad that I am not going to skate with them during 2011, it really breaks my heart. OMG, Bonnie, Fisti and Bunny are about the most awesome ppl in the world. I had some beers with OMG while she was mounting plates at the new Five Stride location and it is freaking ASSKICKING and awesome.

I love to play derby, it is one of the best things I ever took upon myself to do, and I did it well, really well, and I still do. And tonight I'm going to fly out to LA to reunite with Team Legit to once again play the LA Derby Dolls on the banked track... just hoping no-one changed their elbowpads to steel...
